How a growing faith-based school in Tennessee is shaping students with character, discipline, and global vision
Clarksville, Tennessee, 22 December 2025 – Clarksville Christian School has quietly built a strong reputation for excellence in both academics and student development. While school leaders remain humble, the results speak clearly. As of the 2024–25 season, the school’s girls’ basketball team has secured four consecutive TSIAA State Championships and four straight NACA Division III National Championships. Yet, for the leadership at Clarksville Christian School, success is measured far beyond trophies.
Founded in 2007, Clarksville Christian School began with modest roots. The school first operated from the Sunday School wing of Hilldale Church of Christ before expanding to its own campus as enrollment steadily increased. By 2010, the school had built its first phase of classrooms and offices, followed by an upper school facility in 2014 that added classrooms, a cafeteria, and a gymnasium. Continued growth has led to plans for additional campus phases in the future.
Today, the school serves more than 600 students from Pre-K through grade 12. According to school leadership, this steady growth is driven by two key factors: a clear faith-based mission and the people who bring that mission to life every day. Teachers, staff, families, and students are united around shared values that emphasize learning, responsibility, and character.
The school’s President and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Brad Moser, explains that the school’s guiding focus is summed up in its tagline: Excellence in Education – Foundations in Faith. He believes that education should help students grow academically while also guiding them toward purpose and responsibility.
Clarksville Christian School places strong importance on helping students understand who they are and why they are here. Educators work to recognize each child’s unique talents and abilities, encouraging them to develop both confidence and discipline. Students are taught to take ownership of their actions, learning that personal responsibility matters in school, at home, and in the wider community.
This approach is often reflected in how students carry themselves outside the classroom. Community members, local business owners, and employers regularly share stories about Clarksville Christian School students standing out for their respect, kindness, and work ethic. Whether in restaurants, college campuses, or part-time jobs, students are often recognized for their maturity and positive behavior.
Beyond local impact, the school is also expanding its global reach. Over the past three years, Clarksville Christian School has developed international partnerships in Greece, Ethiopia, and China. These partnerships include shared academic projects and student exchange opportunities, allowing students to experience different cultures while strengthening global awareness. The school plans to continue welcoming international students who wish to learn, live, and grow within the Clarksville community.
Growth plans also include the development of a second campus in the Clarksville area. The new site is expected to focus on early learning and upper school education, while the current campus evolves into a center for elementary and early learning programs. Planning is ongoing, with timelines still being finalized.
School leaders emphasize that their goal is not competition, but service. They believe families should choose schools based on the best fit for their children at each stage of life. Clarksville Christian School aims to support families honestly, whether that means welcoming them into the school community or helping them find another option that meets their needs.
At its core, Clarksville Christian School strives to leave a positive mark on its students and the wider community. By combining strong academics, faith-based values, and real-world responsibility, the school continues to shape young people who are prepared to learn, lead, and serve with purpose.
